LIGHT uses information from the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) data systems to provide a visual analysis of the progress made toward ending the HIV epidemic in countries supported by PEPFAR. The dashboard highlights the impact of HIV and TB programs over time and compares progress across countries. While the analysis is intended for desktop platforms, this page provides a text alternative highlighting the content displayed in the dashboard and a link to the datasets used in the visualization.

Data Resources

LIGHT provides country level and annual trend data for those indicators known to have the greatest impact on new annual HIV infections and deaths. In 2022, CDC’s efforts accounted for more than 50 percent of all key PEPFAR outcomes to treat and prevent HIV and TB.
